Calculator results are estimates

All calculator outputs — charging times, costs, range estimates, battery projections, and financial comparisons — are estimates based on average figures and simplified models. They are intended for informational and planning purposes only. Real-world results depend on variables that no online tool can fully account for, including ambient temperature, battery condition, driving behaviour, charger availability, and individual electricity tariffs.

Not professional advice

ChargeCalcs does not provide financial, legal, automotive, or electrical advice. Cost comparisons, tax credit estimates, and lease-versus-buy projections are informational tools, not recommendations. Consult a qualified financial advisor before making major purchase or financing decisions. Consult a licensed electrician for home charger installation. Consult your vehicle manufacturer for precise specifications.

Not a substitute for manufacturer data

Vehicle specifications in the ChargeCalcs database are sourced from EPA test data, WLTP ratings, and manufacturer specification sheets. These figures may not reflect mid-year updates, regional variants, optional equipment, or software updates that change vehicle behaviour. Always verify current specifications with your vehicle manufacturer or dealer before making decisions based on database values.

Accuracy and sources

ChargeCalcs uses cited, verifiable sources for all formulas, vehicle data, electricity rates, and fuel prices. Sources are listed on each calculator page. Data is reviewed quarterly, and cost-related data is flagged for refresh every six months. Despite these measures, errors may exist. If you identify an inaccuracy, please report it via the feedback form so it can be corrected promptly.

Limitation of liability

ChargeCalcs is provided on an “as is” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChargeCalcs and its owner accept no liability for any loss, damage, or cost arising from use of calculator results, reliance on data shown on the site, or decisions made based on the information provided.

Intellectual property

The ChargeCalcs name, logo, and original content are the property of their creator. Calculator results may be cited with attribution using the citation tool provided on each calculator page. Embedding calculators via iframe is permitted for non-commercial use with visible attribution.
